Madurai Bench of Madras High Court has recently commented on the broadcast of Condom ads on TV. While hearing a petition on 11 November, the bench of Justice N. Kirubakaran and B.C. Pugalendhi's bench said that it is very surprising that around 10 o'clock in the night, almost the same type of advertisements get broadcasted on every TV channel. These are condom advertisements, through which pornography is being promoted. Since these advertisements appear on every TV channel, people of all age groups watch them. The petition has been filed by a person named KS Sagdevaraja. The court has currently issued an interim order regarding the telecast of such advertisements. Their transmission is banned till further orders. The date of December 1 is for the further hearing.
