This week, we're diving into one of the most beloved standards from the Great American Songbook - George Gershwin's timeless A Foggy Day. This versatile tune has thrived as both a vocal showcase and an instrumental vehicle throughout jazz history. While it presents a relatively straightforward harmonic foundation, the song offers bassists some interesting challenges with its distinctive harmonic twists and subtle variations on traditional form.
