Should I Leave California, Too? | Why Are People Leaving Los Angeles?

Since moving here a few months ago, I've been shocked to see how much the city has changed in the last several months. Compared to my 1st time in Los Angeles, California in June 2020, it's now kind of like a ghost town. Many places I visit downtown are relatively empty and stores are wide open. Even the traffic has decreased significantly. I think there are 3 main reasons people seem to be dissatisfied with Los Angeles during this pandemic: 1) cost of living is higher than I thought; taxes are also pretty killer 2) homelessness is shocking and persistent throughout the county 3) climate change is slowly destroying any future the city may have. It's really unfortunate because I think it's a great city honestly. Especially when compared to other cities I've lived in like Seattle, San Francisco and New York City which honestly all suffer from similar issues as well. So the next question is: where are people leaving to?
