A Work Trip to Washington DC | Work & Inspiration

What does a real corporate creative assignment actually look like?
Come with me to Washington, DC as I work, create, and document the process in real time.

In this vlog, I take you along on my work trip to Washington, DC, where I was hired by Big Voice Communications and their client, The Society of Risk Analysis, to graphic record their conference, SRA 2025.

The conference theme was “What Comes Next?”—so I approached my artwork with a focus on forward thinking, adaptability, and expecting the unexpected. Every illustration was designed to reflect movement, momentum, and future-facing ideas.

I also challenged myself creatively: filming throughout the workday, enjoying the city after hours, and editing each night. This helped me break my habit of building an overwhelming backlog of footage—allowing me to stay consistent, present, and intentional with my content.

This vlog offers an inside look at the life of a graphic recorder on a corporate assignment, while experiencing Washington, DC through my creative lens.

If you enjoy behind-the-scenes creative work, travel vlogs, or documenting life as a visual artist—don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share.
