The Tower of London: Lest We Forget poppies in 2014 is quite a sight to see!

To mark one hundred years since the outbreak of the First World War, the moat around the Tower of London was gradually filled with ceramic poppies.

This art installation was created by artists Paul Cummins and Tom Piper. Between July and November 2014, nearly nine hundred thousand (888,246) ceramic poppies were placed in the grass around the moat.

Once the display had finished it was possible to buy the poppies. I bought one for my Dad!
