Volkswagen’s new iD7 Estate is stunning

The EV market is flooded with what I regard as fridges on wheels, no style, no flamboyance, no charisma, just plain square shapes with wheels in each corner. Well, the car I’m driving today definitely ain’t no fridge on wheels, its actually visually stunning and probably the least looking EV I have ever driven.
So in 2023, Volkswagen launched the iD7, an all-electric car that’s very pleasant on the eye as well as a pretty decent EV and an all-round success at the end of the day. Then in 2024, VW decided to make a bigger version of the iD7, which is what I’m driving today. This is the iD7 Tourer, or in layman’s terms, an iD7 estate car. It’s got bundles of kerb appeal and its far more practical than a normal iD7, plus it has a lot more space inside, but is it worth its £52,000 asking price? Let’s find out what we thought of the VW iD7 Tourer.
