Author’s note: the authors, Michael and Lennon, are father and son. Lennon created the outline for the Grumpy Pumpkin as a first grader when the class was beginning to learn about descriptive writing. His dad wrote the story based on that outline. Now 9 years old and powered by ADHD and neurodivergent enabled, Lennon himself is a very social-emotional boy who receives behavioral development services to help him better understand his own feelings and emotions, as well as those of others.

Proceeds from sales of Grumpy Pumpkin will go to support children in need of such services as they have benefited Lennon greatly.
