Tourism operators launch attack on Palaszczuk government

With Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk set to retain closed borders on the eve of the October 31 election, two of Queensland’s largest tourism companies have lashed out at the state government.

The Courier-Mail is reporting Queensland Airports and Village Roadshow were angry with the Queensland government keeping the border closed, saying it will cost thousands of jobs.

The PR Counsel’s Kristy McSweeney commented, “of course they have every right to really say enough is enough”.

“It might get people thinking a little bit beyond keeping the borders closed and the fear of COVID towards the economy,” she said.
