NTA NET 2021 Current Affairs
The implementation of the STARS project, which is partly funded by the World Bank, has been approved by the Union Cabinet. It would be implemented as a new Ministry of Education-sponsored Centrally Sponsored Scheme. PARAKH (Performance Assessment, Review, and Analysis of Knowledge for Holistic Development) will be established and will serve as a national assessment center. This autonomous institution, which is part of NEP 2020, will set standards for student assessments for all school boards all across country. CERC stands for Contingency Emergency Response Component. It would allow it to respond more quickly to natural, man-made, and health disasters. It will assist the government in responding to situations that result in learning loss, such as school closures/infrastructure damage, insufficient facilities, and so on. The project spans six states: Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, and Odisha at the state level. Through interventions in selected states, the project aims to improve overall monitoring and measurement activities in the Indian school education system.
