Most people know if a video game is worthwhile or not, and it’s usually the ones we become addicted to which give us the most problems. Some countries have taken people’s love of video games and their obsession into their own hands trying to combat the addiction, but sometimes it just doesn’t work.

Flappy Bird was pulled from the mobile market by its own creator, Vietnamese game developer Dong Nguyen, because of its addictive nature. He said he began to lose sleep knowing so many people had become addicted to the game and it’s infuriating difficulty. It wasn’t an easy decision to pull the game, after all, he had been rumored to be making around $50,000 in advertisement money in a single day but it’s probably a good thing he did because who knows what someone may have done in their Flappy Bird losing rage.

Pokemon Go is another title which has been banned from countries for its addictive nature. People have become so entranced in the mobile game, they walk into deadly combat zones and busy intersections without looking up because the game has literally sucked them in. Countries had to make the tough decision to ban the game after citizens were being killed or injured while playing the game. It was even a matter of national security in some places.

Fallout 3 was another title banned, but not because the video game was addictive, but the in-game drug use could cause players to become interested in using drugs like morphine which were highlighted and featured in the game as rewards for the player. So let’s check out 5 games which were banned for their addictive nature in this latest video!
