TAMPA's LIT PARADE: GASPARILLA 2020

The Gasparilla parade in Tampa is a tradition most Tampanians like myself have attended since we can barely remember. Its a huge "Pirate Festival" Tampa has hosted since 1904. The main point of Gasparilla is the parade and 'invasion" of the pirates, who many refer to as Jose Gaspar; a mythical Spanish pirate, but for most adults, like myself, its just another reason to party with friends, family and even strangers with the excuse to get LIT!

Like most, you start of the day of by pregamaing at home, pregaming in block parties, pregaming on the boats or even pregaming at some of the MANSION'S on Bayshore! By 2 pm you want to have made your way to whatever spot you decide is good enough for your crew to be ready for the parade and beads! Food stands, drink stands and even bead stands are sold through out the couple miles of the parade.

The adult Gasparilla parade is held every last Saturday of January down Bayshore Blvd in Tampa. There is a kid parade held the weekend before and a night Gasparilla parade held a few weekend after in Ybor City.
