Orbicularis oris - the most important saxophone/clarinet embouchure muscle?

Recently I started doing some crazy (=the most fundamental) experiments with different muscles of my saxophone embouchure. I realized it is more clear to do in clarinet, so I switched my longtime to this interesting instrument for a while. I am working on isolating the orbicularis oris, a.k.a. the circular muscle that goes all around the mouth opening, while trying to eliminate all other muscle groups as best as I can. I created some exercises for myself and this… well this WASN’T one of them, this was just having fun. But I guess my exercises helped a bit - or is everyone able to do this while keeping the air escape relatively similar in each position? Let me know!
