Hey screen printers. It’s Josh Wells from Ryonet. I want to show you a very cool, old school screen printing tip. It’s a great way to create unique looks and multi color prints, using just one screen.

With your one color screen set up and ready to print, we are going to take three different inks, it could be two or as many as you want really. I’m going to go for a bit of a rasta look.

We are going to add a little bit of each color at the base of the screen. Using a smaller amount of each ink ensures a greater amount of control over the colors while also reducing waste.

Now, we are going to flood our design and then print.

The key is to keep the squeegee in the same exact track as much as possible. As you print, the ink will blend more and change incrementally. Making every print unique.

If one color is starting to overtake another you can take a very small amount of the color and replenish the one that is becoming overwhelmed. It will start to make that color stronger.

Take a look at this awesome and unique print. Try it out at home or at your shop and show us your results on our Facebook page or instagram use hashtag powering the print!
