One 47 KG Gas Bottle - How Much Did It Melt ? - 4K 2160p

I've just got through my first 47 kg gas bottle. Question is... how much metal did it melt ?

I had to do another scrap aluminium melt to burn through the last of the gas to make sure the bottle was totally empty. I used my new steel ingot moulds for this.

There are advantages to using the 47 kg gas bottle size. No freezing, less changing the bottle. The only disadvantage really is the weight, at around 100 kg for a full bottle.

The second half of the video is all the Aluminium Bronze Ingots, Shibuichi Ingots, Brass Ingots, Copper Ingots and Aluminium Ingots all gathered up and weighed.

All the ingots and castings have come from the same 47 kg gas bottle.

Melting metals can be dangerous, always take appropriate safety precautions. Or it will be a pretty rubbish day out at the hospital.
