I’m Selling My Small Miners… This Setup Makes More Sense
I’m making some big changes to my solo mining setup.
For a while, my setup was built around a bunch of smaller miners — Bitaxes, small DIY miners, different configs, different temps, different issues, and a lot of little things to manage. It worked, but the more I scaled it, the more I realized the setup was getting cluttered, harder to maintain, and not the best long-term path for solo mining.
So in this video, I’m breaking down what my setup looked like before, what it looks like now, what miners I’m selling, and why I’m moving more toward larger DIY builds like the Poor Man’s Q.
This isn’t because small miners are bad. I still think Bitaxe-style miners are one of the best ways to get started with solo mining. But once you start stacking them, managing configs, temps, power, cables, and stability becomes a lot more work than expected.
The Poor Man’s Q-style builds give me a cleaner path forward: more hashrate per device, easier management, better scaling, and a setup that makes more sense for how I want to solo mine going forward.

In this video I cover:
My old solo mining setup vs my current setup
What miners I’m selling
The problems I ran into with the old setup
Config glitches, heat, and management issues
Why larger DIY builds make more sense for my strategy
