SONY TC-K81 & Sanyo Super D: Calibration & Demo- No Breathing

In this video I take a few steps to calibrate a Sony TC-K81 and a Sanyo Super D noise reduction unit. First step, calibrate the deck for the TDK AD tape, which is a type 1 normal formula tape. Then the deck is calibrated to the Super D. Allowing in excess of 40db of noise reduction with little or no breathing detectable in listening tests. Both of theses units were e-bay purchases. The Super D was in great shape when it arrived but the Sony deck had some rough edges. I replaced the belts and tweaked several parameters to get it up and running.
