Rusty old Steam engines: rescued from river - 130 years old

My kids and I are checking out rusty old Steam engines that are rescued from the local river. They are atleast 130 years old. We learn of the unbelievable salvage with the historic Lumsden Railway Precinct museum. With two old V class locomotives that were dumped in the local river in the 20s when scrap metal wasn't worth anything. So at the time they decided to use them as a flood bank. Then a few years ago there was an effort to recover them from the river. They are now displayed just off the main street in Lumsden. Well worth a look!
