Raising a silver tumbler (Tumling)
When I say ”Tumbler” you probably think of a glass, but it comes in a silver variant as well. The Danish/Norwegian take on this is the Tumling a small cup for drinking snaps. It is designed so it will return to standing position, however it is set down, which can be very useful after a few snapses.
Raising is done by supporting the silver on a stake (in this case wood) and hitting it where it is not supported. In that way the silver bends down to the stake without being thinned.
Raising can be done with a wooden stake and a steel hammer, a steel stake and a plastic or wooden hammer or if you are very experienced with a steel stake and a steel hammer.
