2025 Honda CRF450R Works Edition First Ride with Rideworx Suspension!

Brad at Rideworx ( https://www.rideworxsuspension.com/ ) just re-valved the forks and shock on my 2025 Honda CRF450R Works Edition. I am a 6'2" 190lb slow Vet moto rider. I enjoy riding trails, GP tracks, GNCC style loops, and Vet moto. I was looking for more comfort, compliance, and bump absorption out of my CRF450RWE. Brad and I discussed what I was looking for and he came up with a setting. Did it work? Ride along and find out!

Is the CRF450RWE the best 450F? This bike is simply fun to ride with such usable and fun power, agile handling, "just feel right" Honda ergonomics, and Works Edition touches that give this bike such a refined and "Factory" feel. With Rideworx suspension it is not even more fun to ride!

Big standouts on the new CRF450R WE: Smooth and refined feel from both the engine and chassis. The Works Edition special head work, unique engine mapping, full Yoshimura RS12 exhaust system, and Twin Air filter all combine to make this a responsive, powerful, smooth, and easy to ride 450F's. The connectivity between the throttle and rear wheel is excellent - perhaps the best of the 25 450F's. This engine has the easy to ride character of the KTM 450SXF combined with the fun to ride factor of the YZ450F.

The coated Showa suspension has a friction free suppleness at the top of the stroke which gives the bike a planted feel on the little chop. MX33 tires are OK though MX34's would have been better - especially on a Works Editon model.

The "just feels right" Honda ergos are still there and the gripper seat cover keeps you in place. I did install a set Pro Taper Evo bars (Husky bend) with ODI grips. The revised front brake is strong and easy to modulate.
