Simpmom has been very supportive and encouraging of my speedrunning endeavors for a long time, and I felt it was about time she give the game a try and see if she can get a world record...

SM64 speedruns, and speedrunning in general sometimes gets skewed when having watched the game but never played it. It is easy to think that the game isn't actually that difficult, but anyone who has tried speedrunning can assure you, it is quite a bit harder than you'd expect.

Simpmom hasn't really played many games in her life at all so this is a double whammy of never having speedran a game nor really being much of a gamer. It was a blast trying to teach my mom how to speedrun SM64, and perhaps we might have to revisit it to try to hone those skills a little more.
