The Largest Animal on the Planet! | Blue Whales - Santa Barbara, CA

I remember the first time I saw a blue whale. Years ago on a small zodiac vessel out of Newport Beach I was astonished at how the pure size of these mighty animals dwarfed our 36' boat. Years later, I have been extremely fortunate to be able to film so many of the largest animals on the planet this year. Over 50+ individual blue whales have been spotted in the Santa Barbara Channel this summer. Even a rare cow/calf pair joined us for some incredible aerial views! This entire video was shot on a DJI Phantom 4 Pro drone and a Lumix G9 mirrorless camera. I hope you enjoy and look forward to having you out on one of our cruises!
