The Color Purple

Welcome Back to Another BobBlast!

The Color Purple can be luxurious, elegant shades of various violets. On your color wheel, purple is the color between blue and red. The “elegance” depends on your taste and experience.

Your choices of the various hues of purple may be…
•Lavender
•Mauve
•Mulberry
•Orchid
•Fuchsia

You get the idea! The color purple you decide to use doesn’t have to be the purple right out of the tube. I tend to adjust the color for my taste with varying amounts of white plus my own hues with a variety of colors in the purple family (pinks, violets, blues) - or make a beautiful neutral by adding green.

To keep track of my own personal color combinations and hues, I make my own hand-painted studio charts for reference later on. This is very helpful when I am searching for that perfect color!
