The first Kawasaki Disease patient was identified by Dr. Kawasaki in 1969 and is still alive today. In Part 1 he describes the symptoms that led to his identification of a new disease, Kawasaki Disease. Ms. Yuri Kitayama provides the Japanese-to-English translation for Dr. Kawasaki.
