AHA President, Dr. Elliott Antman, interviews Dr. Jane Newburger and Dr. Tomisaku Kawasaki about the disease that bears his name. The first Kawasaki Disease patient was identified by Dr. Kawasaki in 1969 and is still alive today. In Part 1 he describes the symptoms that led to his identification of a new disease, Kawasaki Disease. Ms. Yuri Kitayama provides the Japanese-to-English translation for Dr. Kawasaki.
