The Canon EF 50mm F/1.8 STM lens is a great lens for new photographers who are just getting started. For anyone doing portraits, this will be a big step up from the 18-55mm kit lens that is bundled with DSLRs. Small and compact, this lens is great for travel photography, and portrait photography. I use it as a back up for when I am photographing weddings in Minnesota, and I bring it in my lens bag when I am traveling to Florida. In this video I show its bokeh and sharpness.
