Being Silly
Medicine may be a serious business, but a little silliness can model flexibility, critical thinking and problem solving for your patients. So brush up on those improv skills and try your hand at a few silly moments in a visit soon.
Here are a few ideas:
1.Make a silly mistake, like using your otoscope to check out a patient’s feet!
2. Create a silly scenario, like asking who is bigger, an elephant or a mouse.
3. Tell a funny story, like something that happened to you, or that you loved when you were their age.
