Henna tattoos are popular with celebrities but are they safe? Emma Evans' right hand erupted in blisters after she got a henna tattoo at a popular shop in Virginia Beach. Her hand felt like it “was on fire,” she told Inside Edition. She sought treatment and was told she had third-degree chemical burns. A month later, 6-year-old Peyton Knauer got a temporary henna tattoo at the same shop, but red, raised marks soon appeared on his skin. When Inside Edition went to the shop, the artist hid.
