In Loving Memory of Tilikum

On the 6th of January Tilikum passed away. Tilikum spent most of his life at SeaWorld Orlando. He became well known after the tragic passing of trainer Dawn Brancheau and after he was the main story in the documentary "Blackfish".

He became known as some sort of "disturbed killing machine" through all the negative attention in the media. But in reality he was a lovely, gentle animal who got on so well with his trainers. He had been battling a bacterial infection for quite a while and all this time he recieved round the clock care from his team of trainers and vets at SeaWorld.

Tilikum passed the average age for a male orca and lived a happy life with world class care regardless of what the activists say.

He was a well loved animal who will dearly be missed.
I met and got up close to him in 2013. It was a time I will never forget. All the photos and videos used in this video belong to me.
