Isolation? Isometric Isochronous Chopping Board Bowl! Woodturning a Tumbling Bowl

Welcome to the making of this strange bowl/chopping board! Isometric refers to the 3D pattern of the piece and the isochronous curve means that two balls will always meet at the middle, no matter where they start (constant time), a good video explanation is here: https://youtu.be/eBc827pwKf0?t=157

This is probably one of the hardest/biggest projects I've done - I don't plan on working to such fine tolerances anytime soon! It took about 3 weeks in total to test, plan and make this bowl (and produce the video...) with a lot of head scratching. The 3D effect isn't as strong as it could be but it was the best coloured wood I have available. Hopefully you enjoy!

The first hexagon blanks were better than I expected but ideally they could have gone through a drum sander before being glued all together - my glue up method didn't work as well as I had hoped hence some gap filling on the chopping board side, but I didn't have enough clamps/time to glue in segments.

The woods used are sycamore, apple and iroko and finished with sanding sealer and danish oil.
