Winter is here so I have put all detailing projects on hold while I make some major improvements to my garage that will enable me to accomplish more and become frustrated less during the long Canadian winter. Each of these projects have been months in the making and it is going to take some time to complete them. The plan is to have them all finished in the next two weeks. This is the final in series of three videos in this series I call, "Floor to Ceiling". Enjoy.

🎨 P A I N T I N G C E I L I N G
First up is painting the ceiling a dark grey. I have been contemplating this move for years, and recently saw the team from Obsessed Garage do it in a "Garage Giveaway" series of videos. It gave me the impetus to finally turn my vision into a reality. I am using the same dark grey I have on the portion of ceiling above my infrared heater. It is called "Film Noir" and it is from Rona.

💧 F L O O R D R A I N
I have hired a concrete firm to install a trench drain system that will channel water into a deep catch basin so water will no longer escape the garage. This will end many frustrations I have with water freezing up at the transition between the garage floor and driveway on cold winter days and then dripping on my car as I enter and exit the garage. In this video, the concrete crew excavates a 4' wide section of the floor which will later be re-poured with a slight pitch towards the centre where the channel drain will be installed.
