Mexico Confronts Israel Over Gaza Flotilla Arrests #Gaza #Israel #Palestine #Mexico #shorts

Mexico has delivered one of its strongest rebukes yet to Israel. President Claudia Sheinbaum demanded the immediate release of six Mexican citizens detained after Israel’s violent attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian convoy sailing aid to Gaza. The six activists—three men and three women—were seized by Israeli forces, taken to Ashdod, and later transferred to Ktzi’ot Prison in the Negev desert.

Mexico’s Foreign Ministry has sent urgent diplomatic notes to Israel, demanding consular access, guarantees of safety, and swift repatriation. Sheinbaum stressed that the detainees committed no crime: “Their only mission was humanitarian aid for Palestinians.”

As Gaza faces famine, destroyed hospitals, and mass killings, Mexico joined a growing list of nations calling Israel’s blockade a violation of international law. Sheinbaum warned that Mexico will not tolerate harassment of its citizens or obstruction of humanitarian relief.
