1 Month Project to Spark Creativity

Sometimes we just need a change, or a jolt, or trigger, to inspire new work. I had this experience a decade ago when someone suggested I try making, or doing, a scroll. A month-long engagement with one long roll of paper and whatever I could bring to the table on that given day.

If you're feeling stuck creatively, or just have a ton of ideas that don't normally get expressed in your main artistic practice, this project is fun. Breaks boundaries. Allows permission to experiment. Almost demands it in a way. I'd recommend a good quality heavier paper so you don't find as you start experimenting with new media that the paper dissolves or falls apart on you.

It was the daily search for new ways to express myself that I found the most engaging. What else can I try? That kind of thinking.
