In the town of Nanterre, West of the La Défense business district, and just nearby, the area "Les Terrasses de Nanterre" benefits from an exceptional location, reinforced by the railway station Nanterre Prefecture and, in the future, by the new line 15 Grand Paris Express with the station Nanterre La Folie.
Selected following an international consultation in 2002, the team of urban planners Treuttel-Garcias-Treuttel and associates designed an urban recomposition project around twenty landscaped terraces, which start from the Arche to join the Seine at Nanterre.
