Bernadetta is the only daughter of the Varley Dukedom. Her greedy father only ever saw her as "bait for a rich husband". To "train her to be a good wife", he tied her to a chair for hours and taught her to be submissive and obedient. He also told her not to go near commoners, much less befriend them. However, Bernadetta ignored this advice and befriended a young commoner boy. When her father found out, the boy was found beaten half to death. Years later, Bernadetta's mother had a servant stuff Bernadetta into a sack and shipped her to the Officer's Academy, already having developed social anxiety and locking herself in her room when not attending class or eating meals.

This paranoid Archer's easy to scare, but if left to her own world of solitude, she's a marksman not to be triffled with.
