Global Reggae Lecture for Miami Reggae Festival

Join us for a dynamic evening with Professor Carolyn Cooper whose edited book, Global Reggae will share a lecture on the worldwide impact of reggae music and book signing. The lecture is twinned with the Grand Opening of the exhibition of the top entries in the 2013 International Reggae Poster Contest, co-organized by graphic designers Michael 'Freestylee' Thompson and Maria Papaefstathiou. Thursday October 17, 2013 from 6:30pm - 10pm at Multitudes Art Gallery 5570 NE 4th Ave Miami Florida 33137. The lecture launches the surrounding programs of the Miami Reggae Festival scheduled for November 23rd at Peacock Park in Miami from 1pm - 11pm.

Elegance and Knowledge: Cooper' s sophisticated elegance fuses with her scholarship of Brand Reggae, Jamaican culture, Cultural and Literary Theories. Coinciding with the Grand Opening of the International Reggae Poster competition, Professor Carolyn Cooper will lecture and sign her book about the Global Impact of Reggae.
