How To Speak like a Paisa Colombian

I have a funny game for you – tengo un juego/reto para ti:

If you are learning Spanish yourself, or if you are a native speaker, try to guess what each saying means.
Especialmente si no eres de Colombia, adivina el significado de estos dichos Paisas. ¡Esté video es lo más chistoso que he hecho! This is the funniest video I have made!

I did a video about how clear the Spanish in Bogotá was...but that doesn't mean that I don't love local colloquialisms! And in Bogotá, you will hear Bogotános poke fun at the slang their fellow Colombians use...especially in Antioquia and on the coasts.

So since I am in Antioquia, about 30 minutes outside of Medellín, I had to learn some Paisa tongue for myself.

If you're wondering about Mono, and why he got the nickname of "monkey," by the way, to Paisas, "mono" can mean someone who is fair-skinned/haired. Which I learned during the shoot of this video haha. Because Mono's real name is Duvan Hurtado – a big Thank You to him and Juan Gabriel for helping me make this hilarious video and making me "botar la caja."

That's all for now – go learn some Spanish :)
