Morag: Scotland's Other Lake Monster

Morag, perhaps Scotland's second most famous lake monster, is said to inhabit Loch Morar just 70 miles from Loch Ness. The oldest accounts that describe this entity, dating from the 19th Century, suggest an anthropomorphic female being similar to a Banshee. Since the early 20th Century, sightings of Morag in the loch have come to describe a Plesiosaur-like marine reptile in accordance with stereotypical descriptions of Nessie.
