The Hadzabe (also spelled Hadza) are an indigenous ethnic group living around Lake Eyasi in northern Tanzania. They are among the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Africa and one of the oldest continuously surviving human cultures on Earth, with a lifestyle believed to be similar to that of early humans.

Key Facts about the Hadzabe:

Population: Around 1,200 to 1,300 individuals.

Language: Hadzane, a unique language with click sounds, unrelated to neighboring Bantu or Nilotic languages.

Lifestyle: They rely on hunting game (like baboons, antelopes, and birds) and gathering wild foods (like berries, tubers, and honey). They do not farm or keep livestock.

Tools and Weapons: Use handmade bows and arrows, often tipped with poison from local plants.

Housing: They live in temporary grass shelters or caves, constantly moving in search of food.
