Sometime in late October 2019, a female cheetah named Siligi (meaning Hope in Masai) gave birth to her third litter. Surprisingly this was a litter of seven cubs which is something of a record ...

I first heard about this new family in the first week of November and decided that a chance to see them would be worth a quick visit to Mara ... all things fell into place and I landed up in Mara on the 30th of November.

I had the opportunity to spend a wonderful few days with this family - the Mara is green and very wet due to the frequent rains in November and December and the foliage provides a beautiful albeit wet playground for these young cubs who are resting and playing around their mother on a sunny morning...
