Orna Ben-Ami is a woman artist in Israel who creates sculptures out of iron-based on her own childhood memories and personal histories. When describing herself, Orna Ben-Ami states that she is a joyful person with a sense of humor that she hopes relates to the rest of the world. On the other hand, she lost her sister at a very young age, which translates to sadness in her that she believes everyone else also shares within themselves. With that being said, some viewers will notice the humor in her artworks whereas others will notice the sadness and pain - and both perceptions will be correct. This is because Ben-Ami hopes that everyone who experiences her works will bring in their own feelings, thereby transforming her personal memories into the collective memories of the world.
