Interrogation of Man Who Tried Meeting Up with 13-Year-Old Girl on 'To Catch a Predator'

Nathan Downhour was a 23-year-old college student who was inappropriately texting who he thought was a 13-year-old girl. When he finally decided to meet her, he realized it was a sting operation for the show "To Catch A Predator" featuring Chris Hansen. Police created a 13-year-old decoy named Kate whom Downhour started messaging inappropriately. He eventually agreed to meet with her at her home while her parents were away. Nathan Downhour was sentenced to 35 days in jail, followed by two years of probation, and had to register as a sex offender in the state of Florida.
