Off-duty officer shot at, returns fire in road-rage incident on I-70 late Wednesday night

An off-duty police officer was shot at and returned fire during a road rage incident on Interstate 70 late Wednesday night.

A St. Louis County Police Department supervisor told 5 On Your Side the officer was driving on I-70 near Lucas and Hunt Road in north St. Louis at about 11:45 p.m. The supervisor said that the road rage incident led to a shot being fired from the suspect at the off-duty officer and the officer returning fire with a single shot.
