Lakkundi is in Gadag district, Karnataka, India. It is about 11 km from Gadag city. In Lakkundi there are more than 50 temples, 101 step wells and 29 inscriptions built in the period of Chalukyas. Some of the most important temples here are Mallikarjuna, Virabhadra, Manikeshwara, Nanneshwara, Lakshminarayana, Someshwara, Nilakanteshwara, Halagunda Basavanna, Neelakanteshwara , Suryanarayana, Kashivishveshwara, Virupaksha, and a Jain temple Brahma Jinalaya Temple.
