Nick Park Screen Test #01: Dog (Gromit Prototype)

This is the complete animation/screen test that Nick Park did in the 1980's as a Film School student to prepare for the filming of "A Grand Day Out". In this test, we see a prototype for Gromit appear. As we've been told, Gromit was originally going to have a mouth. We can clearly see him grinning at us here.
Gromit was originally going to have a voice too, which would've been provided by veteran voice actor Peter Hawkins. Peter Hawkins was best known as the original voice for both the Daleks and the Cybermen in the original Doctor Who series.
This was ripped from the 1999 DVD, "Wallace & Gromit: Their First Three Adventures", which can be bought on Ebay.
