Tom the Tomato Plant is the journey of a smaller-than-average tomato plant named Tom. The story evolves into an inspiring tale of self-actualization, gratitude, resilience and living on purpose. Tom The Tomato Plant is a story of compassion and the transformative ripples that are created with small acts of caring-on-purpose.

Author, Dave Carroll, is a singer-songwriter and social media innovator from Halifax who is best known for creating a viral YouTube video about his bad customer service experience with an airline. It was called United Breaks Guitars and became YouTube’s #1 music video in the world in July 2009, at a time when social media was beginning to emerge as an innovative communication tool.

He has since enjoyed a professional speaking career in over 30 countries, written a best-selling book about his experience, developed a storytelling workshop to help organizations and individuals become better storytellers and he continues to produce award-winning music.
