A recent poll by The New York Times indicates a tight race between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

If the election were held today, Trump leads by a mere one percentage point, with 46% of voters favoring him compared to 45% for Biden. This marks a significant narrowing of the gap since February when Trump held a five-point lead.
