Meaningful to Behold 3 by Khenchen Rinpoche

Meaningful to Behold describes the vast qualities associated with the enlightenment of Lord Jigten Sumgön (1143 – 1217), the founder of the Drikung Kagyu lineage and is composed by Chen-nga Sherab Jungne (one of the two principal disciples of Lord Jigten Sumgön). This profound teaching was expounded by most Venerable Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche in Stockholm, Sweden in March 2015.

The appearance of Lord Jigten Sumgön, the second Nagarjuna, was predicted by the Buddha in many scriptures of sutra and tantras. He was a Buddha in human form in order to clarify teachings of the Buddha. He established countless sentient beings in enlightenment and spread the Buddha’s teachings to all corners of the world. He gave countless profound teachings depending on people’s needs and on their level of understanding and depth of practice. His teachings were later compiled in several volumes, the most well-known of which is Gong Chik (a collection of all essential Vajra statements). Another is Heart Essence of the Mahayana Teachings (commentary on the Fivefold path of Mahamudra). Others have been gathered into collections called the Outer Teachings and Inner Profound Teachings.

Meaning to Behold can be found in "Calling to the Lama From Afar" (Vajra Publications, Inc. www.vajrapub.org).
