Landslide 2020: Women Take the Lead – Radburn

Landscape architect Marjorie Sewell Cautley worked on this 149-acre experimental residential community developed by the architects/planners Clarence Stein and Henry Wright between 1928 and 1934. Cautley’s Naturalistic design created seamless communal spaces rimmed by residences. Historian Thaisa Way recalls how Cautley designed Radburn and other planned communities for families of more limited means.
