Olympian's panel absence shows Labor ‘don’t support’ new Hunter candidate

Nationals candidate for Hunter James Thomson thinks the Labor Party "don't support" new Labor candidate and former Olympian Daniel Repacholi after his no-show appearance on The Kenny Report.

Mr Thomson and Mr Repacholi were both invited to appear on The Kenny Report; however, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny, Labor rejected the offer.

“I think the proof is in the pudding, the Labor candidate is not here tonight because he might be a good bloke, but his party don’t support him,” he said.

“It’s one thing to pre-select the minor and parachute them into the electorate, but I’m supported by a whole party, which backs our industries.”
