Alex McKinnon on the tackle that changed his life | One Plus One

Alex McKinnon grew up thinking he understood what it was to be a man: strong, unwavering, and sure of your place in the world.

In 2014 the 22 year old had everything he wanted – achieving his goal of playing first grade NRL with the Newcastle Knights, and an idea of what his future would hold.

But after a tackle left him with a spinal cord injury and Alex had to learn how to reinvent himself, and forge a new path for himself.
