Heavy snowfall and torrential rain over three days have killed at least 61 people and injured more than 110 across Afghanistan, officials said. Dozens of homes were destroyed, hundreds of animals died, and several villages remain cut off as authorities struggle to clear blocked roads and reach affected areas amid extreme winter conditions.
